the lunch special at fat sully's: a slice (i dare say the best i've found out west), a pbr and red winning out of frikkin' nowhere.

there are crayons on the table at fontana.

don't worry, cool girl is only eating sushi that's cooked. this was one day when i felt the kid going wild in there.

bloody sunday

add enough spice, hot sauce, limes, mix, olives and vodka and pretty much anything tastes good. they weren't the overnight gourmet swami version - i do want to try that next time. but they were mcguyver style in my sis' kitchen: no pitcher, no worries. serve 'em like soup with a ladle.

southwest

on the open road to new mexico, beautiful girl keeps nodding in and out with her hand over little pea, the small round bump that is now showing beneath her sweater. i have to keep collin meloy pretty low.

sun

we had a string of sunny days here that broke up the biting cold.

those are the warm mornings when you can sit outside at the coffee house and sip in the sunshine. it's been a while since they opened up the huge windows that open to the patio. the bike rack becomes filled. everyone spills out to the sidewalk with dogs and books and laptops and newspapers.

i'm thankful that we are finally moving forward:
